“Everyone in Los Angeles is talking about Ozempic!” a client of mine exclaimed. Expectantly, she asked, “Is it bad? Should I try it? I’m so eager to lose weight.”
I am not a doctor, but still my answer was “no.” The drug manufacturers acknowledge the side effects present as “possible thyroid tumors, including cancer.” Furthermore, the long term side effects of Ozempic are only tested on patients with Type 2 Diabetes. If you are not diabetic, I will share a safer and equally effective weight loss solution.
Why is Ozempic Effective for Weight Loss?
Ozempic mimics a hormone, semaglutide, that signals to the brain you are full. The drug also slows digestion similarity to the outcome of Bariatric surgery. However, these benefits come at a cost. As listed on Ozempic.com, users may also experience nausea, vomiting, constipation, and diarrhea. These side effects occur due to the body’s inability to digest and eliminate food naturally. As toxins build, inflammation occurs. The label also lists a risk of pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, kidney failure, and worsening of vision.
Furthermore, mental health issues are associated with Ozempic as well. According to the National Public Radio (NPR), correspondent Sydney Lufkin, the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System has received at least 489 reports from people experiencing suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression while consuming Ozempic. Scary!
Is rapid weigh loss worth risking your vision, suicidal depression, or kidney failure? In my opinion, it is not. Yet, I understand the desire to lose weight especially if nothing seems to work.
Nature’s Ozempic—My Alternative to Ozempic Weight Loss
I recommend my Bugs Be Gone formula. The leading ingredient is a medicinal herb called Berberine. You might hear Berberine referred to in the media as “Nature’s Ozempic,” because it helps balance blood sugar. Due to this unique quality, it has also been referred to as “Nature’s Metformin.” Metformin is a drug prescribed to those with Type 2 Diabetes.
Berberine is a potent natural antibiotic included in effective immune formulas. To add to its impressive qualities, Berberine can also help eliminate bugs, bacteria, and parasites. The recurring problem with weight loss is that it never seems to last. My theory is that the root cause of weight gain is not a calorie based issues rather:
- Blood sugar imbalance, which triggers cravings for sugar and carbohydrates.
- Candida or yeast infections or parasites, which trigger cravings for sugar, carbohydrates, and junk food.
I believe people often fail to lose weight because they do not address the root cause.
What is the Root Cause of Weight Gain?
In my 40 years as a gut health coach and colon therapist, clients who struggle with their weight feel terrible about a “lack of discipline.” One gentleman in his 50’s whom I will call “Jonathan” shared that he felt compelled to consume sugar-filled junk food after dinner. He said, “Julia, I know better! I go to the gym every day. Why can’t I stop myself from eating ice cream?”
Immediately, I suspected that Jonathan was suffering from Candida or yeast overgrowth—not a lack of discipline. One of the leading symptoms of Candida as well as bugs, bacteria, and parasites, is an uncontrollable craving for sweets and carbohydrates. Candida can be caused by stress as well as repeated consumption antibiotics, sugar, and alcohol.
After a short course of Yeast Be Gone and Women’s Probio Energy to balance his yeast, Jonathan’s cravings for sugar and junk food stopped. He lost the bloating, rashes, cravings, plus 15 pounds. Jonathan was thrilled.
Heal Your Gut in Order to Lose Weight
Another client, Linda Rogers, offered this testimonial, “I have been dealing with microscopic colitis for five years plus constant diarrhea. I have been taking Bugs Be Gone and The Happy Gut Cleanse. I have lost 20 pounds of toxic waste. I feel like my old self. I could not be happier!”
Linda shared with me that her colitis symptoms have diminished, and she has joy, energy and optimism. She achieved this with natural formulas, no side effects, and a dramatic weight loss. Alternative practitioners and medical colleagues of mine have long suspected the root cause of colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and diverticulitis might be parasites. Linda’s story adds credence to this suspicion. If you wish to lose weight, eliminate bloating, and boost energy, I invite you to to try Linda’s successful duo, Bugs Be Gone and the Happy Gut Cleanse as an alternative to Ozempic.
