Parasite Cleansing Protocols—What You Can’t See, Can Hurt You

October 10, 2025 by Julia Leave a Comment

Are you familiar with parasite cleansing protocols? if not, do you experience bloating and gas, no matter what you eat? Ever experienced digestive issues; out-of-control sugar cravings; or candida overgrowth? Maybe you have also been diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), diverticulitis or colitis?

Reset Health with Parasite Cleansing Protocols

If any of the above are true, it is likely that gut bugs, bacteria, and parasites are a root cause of your symptoms and a parasite cleanse is in order. In my journey, the discovery and elimination of parasites was a turning point in reclaiming my health.

The same has proven true for 80% of my clients. Surprisingly, parasite exposure may not initiated during exotic travel or unsanitary conditions. Parasitic bugs grow inside the human gut simply because bugs are everywhere.

Parasite Cleansing Protocols for Eradication and Prevention

In this blog, you’ll learn basic parasite cleansing protocols to eradicate these nasty critters, as well as to prevent them. For, even though nasty critters abound, it’s time to remove “welcome mat” at the door of your digestive track. Therefore, I now proclaim on your behalf … Bugs Be Gone! How do these unwanted guests find their way to your stomach and colon? Surprising delivery channels are listed below:

— Packaged produce and meat

— Pre-cooked food from grocery store deli

— Your best friend’s Sunday picnic potluck

— That luscious bar-b-que take-out chicken

— The chilled ice water on your last plane flight

— The salad bar at your favorite restaurant

Digestive Enzymes Benefits & Improving Digestive Health

And what rolls out the red carpet for these gut bugs? One answer is inadequate HCL (hydrochloric acid) in the stomach. HCL acts as an army of soldiers standing guard, a SWAT team of defense. If you have used Enzyme Energy (my digestive enzyme with HCL), you may know that enzymes destroy gut bugs on contact. With Enzyme Energy, my experience is that the gut is protected, not infected.

However, what if you often experience low HCL as with most adults over 40 years old, along with little or no digestive enzymes on board? In that event, your gut offers no defense—and no offense. And, the contents of your stomach, your last meal — as well as the tender lining of your stomach and colon —becomes an all-you-than-eat buffet for gut critters. Bugs and parasites have made themselves at home in your gut. This is where bloat, indigestion and blood sugar issues begin.

Parasite & Digestion-Related Issues More Trendy—its Science

In a 2023 Pub Med Study by Dr. Abdel Amed; he writes that parasites are a “neglected aspect in a prominent disease.” And, in a controlled study, Dr. Hamed tested 147 ulcerative of his colitis patients for parasites. 80% percent tested positive.

Why is this exciting information? This study corroborates my observations combined with my client’s anecdotal evidence, plus colleagues’ experiences from decades of clinical practice. From autoimmune experts; to functional medicine doctors; to GI specialists; we have seen one thing prevail in our client’s stool samples—bugs, bacteria or parasites. Yes, a parasite cleanse may be just what the doctor should order.

How to Get Rid of Parasites in the Gut

Still not sure if any strange, microscopic creatures are partying in your gut? Check below for common parasite symptoms.

Common Symptoms of Parasite Infestations

1. Unexplained constipation, gas, diarrhea

This may also cause IBS symptoms. And, doctors do not not routinely screen patients for parasites. Routine lab tests, especially those ordered from a local lab, do not predictably reveal parasites. Therefore, only more sensitive testing, such as a GI MAP, can identify these unwanted guests in your gut. If you want to explore stool sample testing, ask your doctor to order the GI MAP from Diagnostic Solutions. You might also consider Rupa Health’s Diagnostic Solutions online tests, which you can order yourself. When you order a GI MAP tests as listed are included.

2. Chronic Fatigue or Exhaustion

Parasites can cause fatigue and exhaustion, moodiness, depression, headaches, apathy and memory issues. This can lead to undiagnosed lethargy—often very demoralizing. Many of my chronic fatigue clients report that they have been hurt instead of helped by doctors who said, “It’s all in your head.”

If you’ve experienced this, you may be traumatized. Pain has a cause and should not be ignored. And, if your doctor cannot identify it, get another opinion. Or, treat yourself to a private consult with me.

3. Skin Diseases and Issues

Skin irritation, mysterious rashes or eczema may be a sign of intestinal “trespassers.”.  If your itching or rashes do not improve with over the counter medication, it may be more than just a skin problem.

 4. Muscular and Joint Pain

Parasites can project toxins into the gut which reach the joints, muscles and even restrict normal movements and range of motion.

5. Gas and Bloating

Bugs, bacteria and parasites create extra gas in your gastrointestinal tract. Constant bloating is one of the most frustrating and annoying symptoms of parasites.

6. Insomnia

Do you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep? This can be another sign of a parasitic infection.

7. Anemia and Iron Deficiency

Parasites can cause anemia, due to inhibiting normal, healthy absorption of food and nutrients. If you have suffered with iron deficiency, the root cause may be that you are hosting a guest you did not invite.

With anemia, a bug that feasts on your nutrition is also dis-regulating your blood sugar. This often leads to blood sugar crashes, never feeling full — or always feeling hungry.
